Murals, Children's Murals and Wall Art by Embellishments

Murals, much like wall art can enhance a room. A well placed mural can add depth, interest, color and style. At Embellishments, we also use murals as an ingredient for children's rooms and play spaces. Quite often it can be used in conjunction with wall art. My client fell in love with Serena and Lily's Wren bedding. She wanted the very small nursery, with traditional white wainscot and shutters, to coordinate in a simple yet elegant way.

To do so, I painted the room a soft turquoise and created a custom leaf garland pattern to embellish the walls just below the crown molding.

As an artist, it is always a welcome challenge to coordinate yet not infringe. My custom garland pattern, pictured here, conveys the same design principles as their embroidered bed skirt without infringing upon their wonderful design.

Serena & Lily

My clients, two toddlers, whom love all that creeps, crawls and flies needed a room with a jungle view. To achieve this, I painted a window mural in my studio and installed it on site. It was a amalgamation of their favorite South American and African animals. With so much to play with, this room needed additional storage, so I created a 3-D tree sculpture from maple to house all the monkeys. The twin's room was the inspiration for the Metropolitan Wildlife piece, I've just added to my Wall art collection, below.
